Chemical Water Treatment

Boiler Treatment

FLWPS has helped thousands of customers  with their boiler systems through recommending automation, service, specialty chemistries, and equipment, to drive overall reduction of the total cost of operation. We focus on customers in institutional, manufacturing, food & beverage, power generation, chemical, primary metals, paper, and mining. Our experience with firetube and water tube boilers optimization has led to millions of gallons in water savings and asset protection.

Steam Boiler Specifications

  • Total Hardness – <10 ppm as CaCO3
  • Conductivity – < 5,000 umhos; <3,500 umohs neutralized
  • OH – Alkalinity – (50 –100 ppm or 200 – 400 ppm as CaCO3)
  • Silica – < 150 ppm – Dependent on boiler pressure (refer to ASME Guidelines)
  • Iron – < 2.0 ppm as Fe
  • Phosphate – 20 – 40 ppm (refer to ASME Guidelines) Must have proper OH Alkalinity
  • Sulfite – 30 – 60 ppm as SO3 (refer to ASME Guidelines) Feed directly to the DA tank
  • Amines – 15-20 PPM Feed directly to the steam header with a DEAE product
  • Micro-Processor based Smart Chemical Feed Controller that feed chemical based on water meter make up to the DA tank.
  • Customer online dashboard for monitoring systems and generation of weekly reports
  • Customer text message/email system alarms used via wireless global gateway: Minimum signal strength required shall be three (3) bars of service, a stronger antenna may be required to maintain the level of cellular service at no added cost to customer.

What is Solid Chemistry Water Treatment?

Solid chemistry water treatment by AP Tech prevents scale, corrosion, and microbiological fouling. Our solid water treatment process replaces liquid chemicals with a recyclable bottle that holds multiple chemical components. Our products are based on proven water treatment chemistry, have a low carbon footprint, and are easily applied on-site. They eliminate spills, reduce costs, injuries, storage constraints, disposal fees, and landfill contribution.

Say goodbye to liquid chemicals and enjoy a safer, sustainable and hassle-free water treatment solution!
