Chilled Water & Thermal Energy Storage

Thermal Energy Storage Systems (TES)

Thermal energy storage (TES) systems are a smart way to manage cooling energy consumption by shifting it to non-peak hours. During times of low cooling demand, TES systems cool and store water, ice, or a phase-change material, which can then be used later to meet air-conditioning needs. There are two main operating strategies for TES systems: full storage and partial storage, which refer to the extent to which cooling load is transferred from peak to off-peak times.

However, it’s important to note that TES systems can be challenging to chemically treat and maintain, an aspect that many facility and design engineers tend to overlook. That’s where Florida WPS comes in. With our expertise, we can help customers clean up and maintain their thermal energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
